Southbend P36C-BBC Description
The cooktop of this 36" heavy-duty commercial gas range features four (4) 35,000 BTU open burners and a 12" charbroiler while the base is a convection oven. Built to handle the heavy work, this unit features stainless steel front, sides, exterior bottom, and 6" legs, which are adjustable to accommodate uneven floors.
The four (4) burners are non-clogging so you won't have to worry about stubborn overflow liquids or gas flow obstruction. The burners come with removable welded steel top grates that create a strong and flat surface where pots and pans sit and can be ergonomically moved around. A removable drip tray is included for simple maintenance.
For cooking up meats and other foods with charred and smoking quality, the two-burner charbroiler boosts the unit by an additional 32,000 BTU. The cooking surface can reach up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit with the help of the stainless steel radiants that evenly heat the cast-iron grates for uniform results. These grates can be removed or adjusted to help you tailor the setup for each recipe. Plus, the cast iron construction helps you retain heat for longer periods to preheat and recover fast after each session. The charbroiler has a removable drip tray for simple maintenance.
The convection oven on this commercial range has a 45,000 BTU burner with a standing pilot and a two-speed fan that allows for multi-rack cooking by circulating the hot air inside the porcelain enamel cooking chamber. The oven is supplied with three (3) racks that can be set on five (5) side rails to bake a good amount of food at a time. The oven has a thermostatic control that lets you set the specific cooking temperature within the range of 175 degrees Fahrenheit to 550 degrees Fahrenheit to perfect each dish. The porcelain enamel interior makes it easy to clean off grime.
The front of the cooktop is a 9.25" deep rail. The lining and burner box are fully insulated to keep the unit running efficiently. For a safer and more comfortable kitchen, the 5" high stainless steel flue riser redirects the heat and smoke from the unit away from the user and to the ventilation hood.
