Southbend P32D-TC Description
This 32" heavy-duty commercial gas range fits a griddle, a charbroiler, and an oven in one powerful piece of cooking equipment. This unit has excellent protection against rust and corrosion, thanks to the stainless steel front, sides, and 6" legs, which are adjustable to accommodate uneven floors.
The griddle has two (2) 20,000 BTU burners with thermostatic controls that allow you to set the specific temperature between 175 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The 1" thick plate helps retain heat so the griddle doesn't take long to recover from the previous session. There are splash guards around the sides and the rear that prevent spills and splashes from reaching nearby equipment or surfaces. There is also a removable stainless steel drawer that collects grease for quick and easy disposal.
The charbroiler is also fitted with two (2) 20,000 BTU burners and is able to reach 600 degrees Fahrenheit. There are stainless steel radiants that distribute the heat across the grates to eliminate any cold spots and maximize the cooking surface. The grates can be adjusted and removed to suit your cooking needs. The cast iron construction helps with retaining heat to speed up recovery and preheat. The front of the cooktop has a 9.25" deep rail that creates a safe clearance between the user and the cooktop.
Operating at temperatures between 175 degrees and 500 degrees Fahrenheit, the commercial range also has a standard oven that is also thermostatically controlled so you can create the ideal cooking environment for each recipe. The unit is supplied with two (2) racks that you can set in five (5) positions. The cooking chamber has enough room to fit sheet pans in both horizontal and vertical placement. The interior is porcelain enamel so stain and grime will be easy to spot and remove.
This fully insulated lining and burner box keep the unit working efficiently while the 5" stainless steel flue riser helps remove heat and smoke from the room by diverting it towards the ventilation hood instead.
