Southbend P18N-P Description
This heavy-duty commercial gas range with a battery spark ignition lets you install a plancha on your counter or refrigerated/freezer base, adding 16,000 BTU of cooking power without taking up additional floor space. The plancha is made of a half-inch thick reinforced steel plate and is equipped with a burner made of cast iron so it retains heat longer and speeds up recovery time in between sessions. With a predominant stainless steel construction including the front, sides, rear, and exterior bottom, this commercial range can comfortably handle rigorous tasks.
The front two-thirds plate serves as the high-heat zone where products can be seared to perfection at temperatures of up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit. You can put the finishing touches at the rear one-third of the plate, where the temperature is decreased. A 5" deep rail is installed at the top while splash guards surrounding the rear and sides to protect from spills and splashes.
Designed to facilitate a "cook more, clean less" operation, this heavy-duty range sets the plate higher so the cooking surface is easily accessible and cleanable. The 3" wide collection tray on the sides separates the waste for easy discarding. The lining and burner box are fully insulated to keep the operation efficient. The heat and smoke that come from the plancha is pulled away from the user and into the vent hood by the 5" high stainless steel flue riser.
This commercial gas range comes with CSA and NSF certifications. The unit can be integrated into a battery in any position.
