Durable Construction

The Turbo-Air TCBE-72SDR-N is designed to support up to 1,192 lbs. of kitchen equipment. With its 16-gauge stainless steel front and sides, this refrigerated base is certain to withstand the stresses of commercial use. The (4) drawers are also made of stainless steel. Each drawer has ergonomically designed recessed handles for hassle-free opening and closing.

Sizeable Interior Space

At 72” wide,  this refrigerated base provides ample space for containing a good number of extra ingredients. This unit has a full storage capacity of 9.22 cu. ft., which can accommodate up to (48) 1/6 size, 4”-deep size pans that contain a variety of ingredients.

Optimal Temperatures

The interior’s temperature is from 33° F to 38° F, the ideal range for maintaining the freshness of various food items. A digital temperature display is placed on the front panel to let you keep an eye on the temperature. The cabinet uses high-density foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation to ensure the cold air stays inside, with additional insulation for the one-piece stainless steel top to eliminate heat transfer between cooking equipment and the refrigerated base top.

Self-Cleaning Condenser

To prevent system failures occurring from a congested condenser, the Turbo-Air TCBE-38SDR-N has an intelligently designed condenser that cleans itself regularly. The condenser is cleaned of dust and dirt 2 to 3 times every using a rotating brush that automatically moves up and down the condenser coil. It is also shielded from larger particles using a fine mesh filter that catches dust, dirt, and small insects.

Designed for Narrow Spaces

This refrigerated base is a front-breathing unit that allows it to remain efficient even in tight spaces. The side-mounted 1/4 HP compressor means it doesn’t need to be moved for maintenance. However, if you need to move the unit, you can easily do so because of the 5” casters. A set of 6” stainless steel legs is available for an extra fee.

Environment-Friendly Coolant

The Turbo-Air TCBE-72SDR-N uses a specialized hydrocarbon refrigerant called R290 to help businesses comply with EPA and DOE requirements and reduce their environmental footprint. R290 has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3 and contributes little to climate change. It also does not harm the ozone layer in any way, giving it an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of 0.
