Southbend P36D-BBG Description
With four (4) open burners, a 12" griddle, and a convection oven, this 36" heavy-duty commercial gas range is a consolidated cooking station that can take on an entire menu. The stainless steel front, sides, exterior bottom, and 6" adjustable legs make this unit a robust piece of cooking equipment that can go toe to toe in a fast-paced foodservice environment.
The burners each deliver 35,000 BTU of cooking power. They have a unique design that protects them from clogging, which makes them reliable, easy to clean, and ideal for proper gas flow. The removable welded steel top grate on each one holds up pots and pans and creates an even surface that makes for the ergonomic repositioning of bulky cookware. The burners are super easy to maintain, thanks to the removable drip tray.
The 12" of the cooktop is occupied by a griddle, which is outfitted with (2) 16,000 BTU burners. The cooking plate has a 1" thickness that allows it to hold heat for longer periods, which speeds up preheat and recovery after each batch. The rear and sides of the griddle have splash guards, which help prevent spills and splatters from sneaking onto surrounding surfaces and equipment. Grease from each cooking session goes straight to the stainless steel drawer, which you can detach from the griddle for quick discarding.
This commercial range also lets you bake in the 45,000 BTU standard oven with a standing pilot. You can cook products at temperatures as low as 175 degrees and as high as 550 degrees Fahrenheit. Use the thermostatic controls to set the exact temperature so you can perfect each and every recipe. The oven interior is porcelain and enamel and is spacious enough to accommodate sheet pans in both acceptable placements. The oven is supplied with two (2) racks that you can move up and down the five (5) position side rails to find the ideal cooking spot. It also has a heavy-duty stainless steel door handle for added durability.
The unit also comes with a 9.25" deep front rail and fully insulated lining and burner box. The 5" high stainless steel flue riser maintains a safe and cool kitchen by diverting the heat and smoke produced by the unit away from users and towards the ventilation hood.
