When you need to store refrigerated goods in bulk a dependable walk-in cooler like the Nor-Lake KLB87812-C 8' x 12' x 8'-7" H Kold Locker is an important investment. 

To assure durability the internal and exterior surfaces of the panels feature an embossed stucco coating to provide corrosion resistance to the 26 gauge steel. These panels are 4” thick with foamed-in-place insulation between the steel panels providing an R-value of 25. To make sure aligning the panels is easy when assembling the Kold Locker, female and male mating rails are built-in. The panels are tightened together with foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners for an airtight fit. Panel gaskets on the outer perimeter of the panels are continuous around the corners. Each ceiling and floor panel has foamed-in-place edge caps that can’t come loose compared to those that are overlapped or mechanically fastened.

This walk-in unit comes standard with a 26” wide door with a stepped profile that servers as a barrier to airflow. To make handling large items easier, a wider  30” door kit is available at no extra cost. This upgraded door comes with a stainless steel kick panel for extra protection. The door can be ordered hinged to the right or left depending on your installation’s needs. The two hinges the door comes on are cam-lift hinges that are field adjustable to make sure the door opens and closes smoothly. A spring-loaded door closer always makes sure the door is properly closed.

The pre-hung door comes in a 4’ wide panel complete with magnetic stainless steel trim, vapor proof LED lighting with a switch connected to an external indicator light, perimeter heater wire (replaceable), and a digital thermometer. To keep the contents secure, this walk-in comes with an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To make sure workers never get locked in the interior of the door panel has a safety release.

To maintain the self-life of refrigerated goods a temperature from 35°F to 38°F is maintained by the ceiling-mounted RCPB100JC-S-4-EV Capsule Pak producing 8484 BTU/hr of heat rejection. Temperature control is achieved with the Enviro-Control™ system, it makes sure the temperature inside is maintained efficiently. This unit is also used for setting the defrost timer or starting a manual defrost cycle. To remove the need for a floor drain, this unit comes with an automatic condensate vaporizer.
