The panels that make up this walk-in unit are 4” thick with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation to keep the heat out. Each side of the panel has 26 gauge corrosion-resistant stucco embossed coated steel. Kold Locker walk-in units are easy to assemble, each panel has male and female mating rails that make alignment easy while foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners lock the panels together for an airtight seal. The corners feature panel gaskets that go around the exterior perimeter continuously without any breaks or cuts. The edge caps on the ceiling and floor panels are foamed-in-place to secure them for the life of the walk-in unit.

The standard door that comes with this unit is 26” wide. The door features a stepped profile to provide a barrier against airflow for increased energy-efficiency. A wider 30” door can be selected at no extra cost. It comes with a stainless steel kick plate for additional protection. The door can have its two cam-lift hinges installed on either the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to make sure the door opens and closes smoothly while providing a secure seal. A spring-assisted door closer is included to make sure the door is never left ajar. The door comes pre-hung in a 4’ wide panel with a replaceable perimeter heating wire, magnetic stainless steel trim, a digital thermometer, a vapor proof LED lighting fixture and a switch with exterior indicator light. The door can be secured with an NL 9800 deadbolt locking handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To prevent workers from being locked inside, a safety release is included.

The interior temperature is efficiently maintained between 35°F and 38°F by the 4 RCPB050JC-S-0-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System in the ceiling that produces 4060 BTU/hr of heat rejection. The Capsule Pak unit comes with the Enviro-Control™ electronic control system to adjust the temperature and set the timing for automatic defrosting. An automatic condensate vaporizer is shipped loose and wired in the field removing the need for a drain line.
