The Turbo-Air MUR-48-N M3 Series undercounter refrigerator is a durable, attractive, and energy-efficient unit perfect for commercial kitchens hoping to make the most of their available space. At 48 ¼” wide and 30” high, this self-contained refrigerator can easily be tucked under most counters. And with a maximum storage capacity of 12.2 cu. ft., it provides sufficient amounts of extra refrigerated space for food items that need to be easily accessible at all times.

Armed with this knowledge, Turbo-Air built this refrigerator with a heavy-duty and hygienic exterior built with stainless steel top, front, and side panels. The interior uses durable aluminum side and back panels and a stainless steel interior floor to ward off the development of rust that may be caused by food acids.

Self-Closing Swing Doors Remain Shut at All Times

The Turbo-Air MUR-48-N has (2) swing doors equipped with self-closing hinges, keeping you assured that they aren’t left ajar by careless hands. Both doors have ergonomically designed handles that are easy to grip to make opening the doors a breeze. The recessed handles also give the unit a sleek, modern design that prevents unsightly features from sticking out from under the counter. Each door uses an ABS sheet liner to protect the interior from damage caused by moisture and food acids. Both doors have one-piece magnetic gaskets that can be pulled off easily without using tools. Customers who prefer their refrigerated items sealed under lock and key may also order optional door locks for an additional fee. Please be advised that door locks require extra lead time.

Perfect Temperatures for Food Preservation

The Turbo-Air MUR-48-N has a digital external display that allows you to keep track of the interior temperature. Temperatures can be adjusted from 33° F to 38° F using the unit’s digital temperature control system. You can also adjust the fan motor to help circulate cold air around the interior. A layer of high-density polyurethane is foamed into place throughout to insulate the cabinet and ensure that the cold air stays inside. The Turbo-Air MUR-48-N includes (2) heavy-duty shelving units to hold its contents. Each shelf can be moved to different heights to accommodate different item sizes. Both shelves are also coated with durable polyethylene to protect them from water damage. Energy-efficient LED lighting provides illumination for the interior, allowing you to see its contents with ease when you open the doors.

Self-Cleaning Condenser Reduces Maintenance and Increases Reliability

While the Turbo-Air MUR-48-N still requires manual maintenance, the need to clean the condenser is greatly reduced thanks to the unit’s self-cleaning condenser system. The condenser uses a rotating brush that moves up and down 2 to 3 times per day. This removes dust trapped in the condenser coil and prevents dust buildup that compromises the condenser’s performance. The condenser also uses a fine mesh weave that prevents large particles from getting to the condenser.

Swivel Casters for Extra Mobility

When you need to pull the Turbo-Air MUR-48-N out for servicing, you don’t have to lift a muscle to take the unit out of its place. A set of 4” swivel casters let you easily roll the refrigerator across the kitchen floor and lock it into place. If you prefer a shorter unit, you can order a set of smaller casters, each with a diameter of 2.5”, which is available at an extra charge. Those who prefer stability over mobility can opt for a set of 6” legs that are made of either stainless steel or ABS. An optional backsplash guard is also available for a fee to protect the unit’s top. If you need additional overhead storage, a stainless steel double shelf can be installed for an extra fee.

Ozone-Friendly Refrigerator Approved by EPA and DOE

To comply with the EPA and DOE’s updated rules on refrigerant use, the Turbo-Air MUR-48-N is cooled using R290, a special hydrocarbon refrigerant deemed as the eco-friendly alternative to traditional coolants. R290 has an Ozone Depletion Potential of 0 and a Global Warming Potential of 3. It is not harmful to the ozone layer and has minimal effect on global warming.
