The Groen BPP-40GA Braising Pan is the ideal choice for large establishments that require large batch cooking.  The 10” deep, 40-gallon pan is the largest gas heated tilting braising pan in Groen’s line. Aside from braising, this high capacity Gas Tilting Skillet Braising Pan has a firing rate of 144,000 BTU/hr and can be used to boil, fry, steam, sear, and saute large amounts of product that large establishments need.

The cooking surface is made from a heavy-duty ⅝” thick stainless steel clad plate that resists distortion and warping.  It has a 100 emery grit finished surface that prevents the product from sticking and keeps the unit easy to clean. The entire cooking surface is uniformly heated via specially welded fins.  The corners have a 3” radius making it easy to stir the product in the pan, Graduated fill-level marks are etched into the side in gallons and liters to easily see the amount of product at a glance.

The Groen BPP-40GA Braising Pan features power tilt, with a 3-position switch a motor is activated to precisely control the pouring of the product. In the event of a power failure, the pan can be manually tilted to avoid losing an entire batch of your product.

The controls located on the right side of the unit in an IPX6-rated stainless steel housing include: a power on-off switch with an indicator light, a temperature and time set knob, an LED display of the set temperature or cook time, a heating indicator light, buttons for setting the low and high temperature presets, a manual mode button for setting the pan temperature, a timer set button with an indicator light and a three position tilt switch.

The Groen BPP has a temperature range of 175 to 425°F and is thermostatically controlled. When it reaches the preset temperature it automatically switches off, and when the temperature falls below the preset it switches back on.  All Groen tilting braising pans come standard with a high limit thermostat for the safety of your crew and establishment.

The body of the Groen BPP-40GA Braising Pan is made from a welded single piece of heavy-duty 304 stainless steel. It has a #3 finish which keeps the machine easy to clean and maintain a good appearance.  A faucet bracket is included for mounting a faucet on the left side, right side or right rear. The unit sits on a round tubular open leg base with adjustable bullet feet to keep it level on uneven flooring.

This model uses 5.0 amps at 115v/60/1-ph and requires a ½” NPT gas connection. Make sure to select either the LP gas or Natural gas option depending on what your establishment uses.
