The Groen BPP-40EC Braising Pan is the ultimate multi-purpose kitchen appliance for large batch cooking. With 40 gallons of capacity, this electrically heated tilting braising pan can saute, fry, steam, boil, and braise large amounts of food with ease.  Despite the huge amount of food this unit can cook, it will take up as little room as possible in your kitchen at 48” wide and 39-¾” from front to back.

The cooking surface is made from a 5/8" thick stainless steel clad plate that is uniformly heated with flat bar electric elements. The cooking pan is 10" deep, 35-¾” wide and 28-¼” long and the entire interior surface is emery polished to a 100 grit finish.

The smooth 304 stainless steel that makes up the interior wall of the pan is made from a single piece of stain-resistant 304 stainless steel and features 3" radius corners. These features make it difficult for food to stick which minimizes cleaning time.  Precisely filling the Groen BPP-40EC Braising Pan is easy with graduated fill marks in both liters and gallons.

The controls on this tilting braising pan are simple. on the IPX6-rated control panel, there is a knob for setting the temperature, a power switch with an indicator light, a heat indicator light, and a 3-position tilt switch. Tilting the pan with the 3-position switch is fast, simple and accurate.  To facilitate griddling, the pan can operate at a 7-degree tilt. If the unit loses power, the pan can be manually tilted with a manual override.

You can set the temperature in the Groen BPP-40EC Braising Pan from 175 to 400°F. With thermostatic control, the unit will automatically turn off once the set temperature has been reached, and will automatically power back on when the temperature dips below. All Groen tilting braising pans come with a high limit thermostat for safety.

The exterior of the braising pan has a #3 finish which looks great and is easy to clean. The unit sits on a tubular open leg stand, this makes cleaning under and around it really easy. To keep the Groen BPP-40EC level, all 4 legs have adjustable bullet feet. A faucet bracket is included, it allows the installation of an optional faucet on the left, right or right rear of the device.

This unit comes in 5 different voltage and phase configurations,  240v/60/3-ph (37.0 amps), 480v/60/3-ph (19.0 amps), 208v/60/1-ph (64.0 amps), 240v/60/1-ph (64.0 amps), and 208v/60/3-ph (43.0 amps).
