The Groen BPP-30EA Braising Pan is the mid-sized electrically heated model with all the bells and whistles from their product line. It can be used in almost any kitchen that caters to large batch cooking. With its 38 ½” wide and 39 ¾” front to back footprint, it's easy to find space for its 30-gallon capacity.

Food cooking in the pan's interior has a difficult time sticking thanks to the 100 grit emery polish, this also means less down time from cleaning. The interior sides of the pan are made from a single piece of corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel and include graduations in both liters and gallons. The corners have a 3" radius which means moving food inside the pan is easy.  The cooking surface is a 5/8" thick stainless steel clad plate and has no hot or cold spots since heating is provided by electric flat bar heating elements. The cooking pan is 10” deep, 26 ¼” wide, and 28 ¼” long.

The Groen BPP-30EA Braising Pan includes an advanced control panel mounted to an IPX6-rated stainless steel housing. The control panel includes a power switch with a built-in LED indicator, a heating indicator light, an LED panel to display cooking time and temperature, reset buttons for the low and high temperature presets, a control knob, a manual mode button for setting the pan temperature, a timer set button and a 3 position switch for tilting. These controls allow you to easily cook large batches of food accurately and consistently. The timer can be set from 1 minute to 10 hours, this makes sure food never ends up over-cooked even in high demand kitchens with the crew tending to several tasks at a time.

The cooking temperature of the Groen BPP-30EA Braising Pan is thermostatically controlled between 175 and 400°F. The unit will automatically turn the heat on or off based on the preset high and low temperatures you set.  All Groen tilting braising pans come with a high limit thermostat for the safety of everyone in the kitchen.

Tilting this pan is accomplished with a  powerful motor controlled by the 3 position switch mentioned above. Pouring is precise and requires as little effort as possible. If you lose power to the unit for any reason it is possible to manually tilt the pan with its manual override.

The exterior of the Groen BPP-30EA features a #3 polish which is easy to clean and will continue to look great even after many years of heavy use.  The unit is mounted to a round tubular open leg stand, this makes it easy to reach under the pan. To keep the pan level all 4 legs include adjustable bullet feet. For convenient filling a bracket is included for the installation of a faucet on the right, left or rear right of the device. Faucet not included.

Make sure to select the right power option for this model, it comes in 5 different voltage and phase configurations,  208v/60/1-ph (55.0 amps), 208v/60/3-ph (32.0 amps), 240v/60/1-ph (48.0 amps), 240v/60/3-ph (28.0 amps), and 480v/60/3-ph (14.0 amps).
