AccuTemp EGF2403B2450-S2 Description
The EGF2403B2450-S2 Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle from AccuTemp is an electric stand-mounted model with a 574 sq. in. cooking area configured to use 240v/60/3-ph power. Unlike most electric Commercial Griddles that use heat elements that directly contact the griddle plate, the Accu-Steam™ Griddle uses a hermetically sealed vacuum chamber with the heating elements submerged in pure water. This vacuum chamber is similar to those found in jacketed steam kettles and will never require refilling or maintenance.
The griddle plate is made from 7 gauge stainless steel that is polished cold-rolled to keep food from sticking. It might seem like the griddle plate is thin with limited thermal mass, but since steam is used for heating it recovers nearly instantaneously. This is because steam naturally heats the cold spots where food has been placed to match the rest of the griddle plate.
Managing grease on the cooking surface is easy with a 3-⅞” wide, ½” deep grease trough that runs the full width of the cooking surface that leads to a 5-quart grease pan for easy removal. The grease pan is accessed from the front of the unit with a grease drawer and includes a weep hole to indicate when it’s full.
The Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle is ENERGY STAR compliant and saves on electrical costs. This unit uses 24.0 amps of power and comes with a 5-foot power cord that terminates in a 15-50P plug. More Restaurant Equipment, Cooking Equipment & Commercial Grills are available.
