The Turbo-Air MUR-28-N is a self-contained undercounter refrigerator that’s perfect for commercial kitchens that want to make the most of the space they already have. This 6.8 cu. ft. fridge is a product of Turbo-Air, a global provider of durable refrigeration systems with more than 20 years in the business.

Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel and Aluminum Construction

The Turbo-Air MUR-28-N is built to last the rigors of a hectic commercial kitchen environment. Stainless steel front, side, and top panels create a robust exterior structure, which is further strengthened by aluminum interior sides and back. The interior floor is built with hygienic, rust-resistant stainless steel that is protected from damage caused by accidental food spills. The top of the unit may include a stainless steel backsplash guard to protect the surface from spills and grease sprays. The backsplash guard is an optional add-on that is available for an extra fee.

Self-Closing Swing Door Ensures Interior is Kept Cool

The Turbo-Air MUR-28-N has (1) swing door that can be hinged on the left or right to make accessing its contents more convenient. The door is fitted with a self-closing hinge, ensuring that the door is always completely shut. This prevents any cold air leaks from occurring and exposing the refrigerator’s contents to warmer temperatures. The door has a durable liner made from ABS to protect it from moisture damage. It uses magnetic gaskets that can be removed without tools. The door is fitted with an ergonomic recessed handle that you can comfortably grip with your fingers. To add an additional layer of security for your refrigerated items, you can opt for a door lock for an extra fee. Please note: The optional door lock requires extra lead time.

Fully Insulated Interior Cabinet to Keep Food at Safe Temperatures

The refrigerator’s interior is fully insulated using CFC-free, high-density polyurethane foamed into place all throughout the cabinet. This makes sure the cold air is trapped inside to keep your items cool and crisp. The interior houses (1) adjustable wire shelf, polyethylene-coated to protect it from moisture. An additional shelf is available at an extra charge if you need it to make organizing the unit’s contents more efficiently. The interior is brightly lit by energy-efficient LED lighting. It keeps a temperature range of 33° F to 38° F, which can be adjusted using the digital control and monitoring system.  

Self-Cleaning Condenser Prevents System Failures

The Turbo-Air MUR-28-N uses a fine mesh filter that catches dust and prevent it from accumulating in the condenser. Any particles that make it through the filter are then automatically cleaned off using a rotating brush programmed to move up and down the condenser 2 to 3 times per day. This prevents dust buildup that can cause the condenser to work harder than it should, leading to excessive energy consumption and unit failures.

Mobile Unit Supported by Swivel Casters

A set of 4” swivel casters allow you to roll the refrigerator into place. Once you find the right spot for the unit, you can lock the front two casters so that the refrigerator doesn’t move around while in use. For added stability, you can order an optional set of stainless steel or ABS legs for an additional fee.  

Environment-Friendly Refrigerator Meets EPA and DOE Requirements

The Turbo-Air MUR-28-N is responsibly designed to use R290 refrigerant. R290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant that registers with an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of 0, which means it does not release substances that are harmful to the ozone layer. It also has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3, which means it adds little to global warming and climate change. Refrigerant R290 is in full compliance with the regulations on refrigerant use that the EPA and DOE released in 2017.
