An outdoor walk-in freezer like the KODF87810-C 8' x 10' x 8'-7" H Kold Locker from Nor-Lake is a simple way of expanding your sub-zero storage space without taking up precious indoor floor space.

Both the interior and exterior of panels feature 26 gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco coating. The 4” thick panels are filled in with foamed-in-place insulation and have an R-value of 32. Connecting panels together is easy with female and male rails that provide a perfect fit that allows the foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners to fully tighten to make an airtight connection. Around the outer perimeter, a continuous panel gasket provides a barrier that is free from cuts or breaks. Each ceiling and floor panel has foamed-in-place edge caps that can’t come loose compared to those that are overlapped or mechanically fastened.

The standard door that comes with this unit is 26” wide. The door features a stepped profile to provide a barrier against airflow for increased energy-efficiency. We can upgrade the door to the 30” wide version complete with stainless steel kick plate (A $250 value) at no extra cost. The door comes with two heavy-duty hinges both of which are cam-lift and adjustable. This allows the door to be easily adjusted over the lifetime of the walk-in as it settles. The door also comes with a spring-assisted door closer to make sure it’s never left ajar. The door comes pre-hung in a 4’ wide panel with a replaceable perimeter heating wire, magnetic stainless steel trim, a digital thermometer, a vapor proof LED lighting fixture and a switch with exterior indicator light. The door can be secured with an NL 9800 deadbolt locking handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To prevent workers from being locked inside, a safety release is included.

The temperature inside this walk-in freezer reaches a brisk temperature of -10°F thanks to the ceiling-mounted RCPF150JC-S-4-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System that provides 6120 BTU/hr of cooling. The refrigeration system is controlled by the Enviro-Control™ electronic control system which sets the temperature, defrost timer, and can be used to manually start a defrost cycle. The roof is protected from the weather with a 35 mill white membrane roof material that requires no seaming or gluing. The weatherproof membrane is held in place with metal trim flashing that is held in place by self-drilling, self-tapping TEK screws.
