An outdoor walk-in freezer like the KODF7768-C 6' x 8' x 7'-7" H Kold Locker from NorLake is a great option for operators that need more storage for frozen goods but simply don’t have floor space to devote to it. The interior of this commercial walk-in freezer offers 270 cu. ft. of refrigerated space.

4” thick panels make up the walk-in unit. Both sides of each panel have a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco coating on 26 gauge steel. To achieve an R-value of 32 the panels have foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. Assembling a Kold Locker walk-in is simple with each panel featuring female and male rails that mate together. Once mated together the panels are fully tightened with foamed-in-place cam locks which assure an airtight connection. The corners are kept sealed with panel gaskets that go around the outer perimeter without any breaks or cuts. The ceiling and floor panels feature foamed-in-place edge caps that will stay in place for the life of the cooler.

To prevent airflow, the door has a stepped profile to keep the heat out efficiently. At 26 inches wide, the standard door provides easy access to the interior. This door comes with two hinges both of which are cam-lift and adjustable. This allows the door to be easily adjusted over the lifetime of the walk-in as it settles. The door also comes with a spring-assisted door closer to make sure it’s never left ajar. The door panel is 4’ wide with the door pre-hung from the factory. A replaceable perimeter heating wire is included as well as a vapor proof LED lighting fixture that is activated by a switch complete with an exterior indicator light, a digital thermometer, and magnetic stainless steel trim. The interior is secured with an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To keep workers safe, the interior has a safety release to make sure they are never locked in.

Everything inside is kept frozen by the top-mounted RCPF100JC-E-4-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System that easily maintains a temperature of -10°F with 3220 BTU/hr of cooling. This walk-in comes with the Enviro-Control™ system that adjusts the temperature and maintains it efficiently. It can also be used to start a manual defrost cycle or adjust the automatic defrost timer. A single piece of 35 mill membrane is included to protect this walk-in from the elements. The white roof material does not need to be glued or seamed into place on the roof, metal flashing is included to secure it to the sides of the walk-in with self-tapping/drilling TEK screws.
