Both the interior and exterior of panels feature 26 gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco coating. The 4” thick panels are filled in with foamed-in-place insulation and have an R-value of 32. Kold Locker walk-in units are easy to assemble, each panel has male and female mating rails that make alignment easy while foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners lock the panels together for an airtight seal. The corners feature panel gaskets that go around the exterior perimeter continuously without any breaks or cuts. Each ceiling and floor panel has foamed-in-place edge caps that can’t come loose compared to those that are overlapped or mechanically fastened.

Kold Locker walk-in units come standard with a 26” wide door, This door is designed with a stepped profile that acts as a barrier decreasing airflow for better energy-efficiency. A wider 30” door can be selected at no extra cost. It comes with a stainless steel kick plate for additional protection. The door can have its two cam-lift hinges installed on either the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to make sure the door opens and closes smoothly while providing a secure seal. A spring-assisted door closer is included to make sure the door is never left ajar. The pre-hung door comes in a 4’ wide panel complete with magnetic stainless steel trim, vapor proof LED lighting with a switch connected to an external indicator light, perimeter heater wire (replaceable), and a digital thermometer. To keep the contents secure, this walk-in comes with an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To make sure workers never get locked in the interior of the door panel has a safety release.

Everything inside is kept frozen by the top-mounted RCPF100JC-S-4-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System that easily maintains a temperature of -10°F with 3444 BTU/hr of cooling. Adjusting the temperature inside is made simple by the Enviro-Control™ electronic controller system. This is also used for manual defrost and setting an automatic defrost timer. Outdoor units come with a complete kit to protect the walk-in unit from the elements. A 35 mill white membrane roof material is provided and requires no seaming or gluing, it is held in place with metal trim that secures it to the wall panel with included self-tapping and self-drilling TEK screws.
