The cooler is constructed from 4” thick panels that feature 26 gauge steel with a stucco embossed, corrosion-resistant coating. EPA-compliant foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation is used. The panels have male and female rails that mate together to ensure proper alignment during installation. Foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners provide an air-tight seal while a continuous panel gasket goes around the outer perimeter without breaks or cuts at the corners. The ceiling panels feature foamed-in-place edge caps that will stay in place for the life of the cooler.

By default, the door that comes with this unit is 26” wide with a stepped profile that impedes airflow for a more energy-efficient door. An upgraded 30” door kit complete with a stainless steel kick plate ($250 value) can be selected at no extra cost. Two cam-lift hinges are included with this door and can be installed to open from the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to compensate for settling over the life of the walk-in. A spring-loaded door closer is included to make sure the door is not left open accidentally. The pre-hung door comes in a 4’ wide panel complete with magnetic stainless steel trim, vapor proof LED lighting with a switch connected to an external indicator light, perimeter heater wire (replaceable), and a digital thermometer. To keep the contents secure, this walk-in comes with an NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To make sure workers never get locked in the interior of the door panel has a safety release.

The ceiling-mounted refrigeration unit is an RCPB075JC-S-4-EV Capsule Pak unit that produces 6250 BTU/hr of efficient cooling that maintains temperatures between 35°F and 38°F. To control the temperature precisely the Capsule Pak refrigeration unit comes with the Enviro-Control™ electronic controller. This electronic control is used to set the temperature, defrost timer, and can also be used to manually defrost the unit. A condensate vaporizer is included with the unit (shipped loose and requires field wiring) to eliminate the need for a drain line.
