The BPP-40GC Braising Pan from Groen is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment for large batch cooking. Its 10” deep pan with a 40-gallon capacity can be used to sear, fry, saute, steam, boil, and of course, braise a myriad of different foods efficiently. This gas heated braising pan is perfect if you need to cook a lot of food.

This Gas Tilting Skillet Braising Pan comes with a power tilt feature which is easily controlled with a 3-position switch. The motorized tilt system provides precise control when pouring the product from the pan. In the event of a power failure, there is a manual override. The braising pan can be operated at a 7 degree angle for griddling.

The cooking surface is made from a ⅝” thick plate clad in stainless steel which is polished to a 100 emery grit finish. The thick cooking surface prevents distortion or warping. Heat transfer fins ensure the entire cooking surface is heated evenly and efficiently. The 3” radius pan corners make it easier to stir the contents of the pan. Graduated fill-level marks come standard and are displayed in both gallons and liters.

Temperature is thermostatically-controlled and can be set from 175 to 425°F. It will automatically shut off when the selected temperature has been reached and automatically switches back on when the temperature falls below. This model has a firing rate of 144,000 BTU/hr and comes standard with an electronic intermittent pilot ignition system.

Cleaning the BPP-40GC Braising Pan is easy. The pan body is made from a heavy-duty, solid welded piece of 304 stainless steel with a #3. The tubular stand design making it simple to clean around the machine.  Height-adjustable bullet feet make it easy to level it on uneven floors. A bracket is included for installing a faucet on the left, right or rear right of the body.

All controls are mounted in an IPX6-rated water resistant stainless steel housing. The temperature and power tilt controls are located on the right-hand side for convenient use.

The unit uses 5.0 amps of power at 115v/60/1-ph and requires a 1/2” NPT gas connection
