If you want to tighten up the turnaround time on salad or sandwich orders, especially during a rush, then the SPED72HC-12-4 Elite Series™ Sandwich Top Refrigerated Counter from Beverage Air is an excellent option. This prep table is specifically designed to streamline workflow and comes with a dozen ⅙-size pans in a refrigerated bunker, a single reach-in section, and four drawers for fast access to larger items. More storage for heavily used ingredients can be placed in the drawers which can hold full-size pans up to 6” deep. The reach-in section has two epoxy-coated shelves. The drawers and reach-in sections offer a total of 20.0 cu. ft. of storage. 

The worktop includes a full-width polyethylene cutting board that provides an edge to edge workspace. This provides plenty of space to work on salads and sandwiches without taking up any more space than necessary. The cutting board can be removed for maintenance or cleaning. Ingredients and condiments in the countertop bunker are kept between 41°F and 33°F with optimized airflow to maximize shelf life. 

The refrigerated reach-in section below the worktop has 2 epoxy-coated wire shelves to organize items and make good use of the space. The interior is made from corrosion-resistant aluminum making it easy to clean. A self-closing door makes sure that temperatures are always between 36º and 38ºF without using too much power. To make loading and unloading more items more convenient, the door will remain open when opened to 120˚.

The self-contained bottom-mounted refrigeration system features a ⅓ HP compressor that provides 1549 BTU/hr of cooling. Environmentally-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant is used and meets all environmental regulations. This unit has a non-electric automatic defrost function, to make sure it’s always running as efficiently as possible.

This unit is configured to use standard 115v/60/1-ph power and comes with an eight-foot power cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug set.
