This slicer can be used to process food for up to eight (8) hours continuously. While most establishments can get by with Electric Food Slicers meant for light-duty, certain businesses with more demanding use-cases such as delis, sandwich shops, and some cafes need a heavy-duty, high volume slicer like this one.

This unit is designed to handle rectangular-shaped food items measuring up to 10” x 6-½”, square-shaped food items measuring 6-½” on each side, and round-shaped food items with a maximum diameter of 9”. The mind-bogglingly sharp 13” low-friction stainless steel blade features a German hollow ground edge that spins at 300 RPM allowing it to slice effortlessly through vegetables, meat, and even cheese. The maximum thickness of slices this unit can produce is ⅞”.The edge guard on this device is permanently mounted for the safety of operators.

The Univex 8713M Premium™ Series Slicer is comfortable to use with ergonomically positioned controls that allow for intuitive use. Liquids from the food being cut won’t be sprayed everywhere thanks to the drip tray fence designed to redirect the liquid into the concave base for easy wipe down.

Cleaning the unit is simple, the carriage is easily detached so you can thoroughly clean the device. The body of the unit features an anodized aluminum finish with a sanitary polish that is easy to wipe down and looks great. The built-in sharpener lets users regularly service the blade to make sure it as sharp as possible. The sharpener is removable when deep cleaning is necessary.

The blade is spun with a reliable belt-driven transmission powered by a ½ HP motor. This slicer can be ordered in two voltage configurations 115v/60/1-ph at 5.4 amps and 220v/50/1-ph at 2.7 amps. Externally this device measures 30-¼ inches deep, 20-⅞ inches tall, and 23 inches wide.
