Both the interior and exterior of panels feature 26 gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant embossed stucco coating. The 4” thick panels are filled in with foamed-in-place insulation and have an R-value of 32. The panels that make up the Kold Locker have male and female rails that mate together and foamed-in-place cam locking fasteners secure them tightly. The exterior perimeter is wrapped with a continuous panel gasket without cuts or breaks. The floor is made from similar panels to the wall panels but features a smooth aluminum surface for rust resistance. The floor is designed to hold a uniform load of up to 800 pounds per square foot. Both floor and ceiling panels feature foamed-in-place edge caps that will keep things secure for the lifetime of the walk-in.

Kold Locker walk-in units come standard with a 26” wide door, This door is designed with a stepped profile that acts as a barrier decreasing airflow for better energy-efficiency. For a more durable option, you can select the 30” wide door kit that comes with a stainless steel kick plate. This is a free upgrade. Two cam-lift hinges allow the door to open and close smoothly, they are field adjustable to compensate for any settling over the years to make sure the door always opens and closes smoothly while maintaining a proper seal. The door can be ordered hinged on the left or right to best fit your needs. A spring-loaded door closer makes sure the door is never left ajar.

The door comes pre-hung in a 4’ wide panel with a replaceable perimeter heating wire, magnetic stainless steel trim, a digital thermometer, a vapor proof LED lighting fixture and a switch with exterior indicator light. The door can be secured with an NL 9800 deadbolt locking handle with an independent key/padlock feature. To prevent workers from being locked inside, a safety release is included.

The interior temperature can be set as low as -10°F, RCPB075JC-S-4-EV  BTU/hr of cooling is provided by the 6250 Capsule Pak Refrigeration System on the roof of this unit. The Capsule Pak unit comes with the Enviro-Control™ electronic control system to adjust the temperature and set the timing for automatic defrosting. An automatic condensate vaporizer is shipped loose and wired in the field removing the need for a drain line.
