Blodgett 981-966 Description
If you are looking for a powerful gas deck oven to cook a variety of dishes, trust the Blodgett 981-966 to make short work of your menu. This unit features two sections, with a 7" high baking compartment at the top and a much larger 16.25" chamber both fitted with a 42 by 32" aluminized steel deck to provide abundant space for two batches of food at a time. Each compartment has a free-floating duplex-tube burner that heats the decks at 200 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, which you can adjust via the mechanical liquid pressure thermostat.
Built to keep up with the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, this commercial oven is impervious to rust and chipping but effortless to keep shiny and clean, thanks to the stainless steel front, sides, top, and back. The chambers are supported by a full-angle iron frame and insulated with vitreous fiber to keep the interior temperatures stable to cook the contents to perfection. The doors have no hidden hinges and are counterbalanced so you can load and unload the chambers quickly and without any physical strain. Aluminized steel lines the interior and the combustion chamber for added durability and heat resistance.
The entire burner system is stashed behind a dedicated door so you can prompt ignition, make adjustments, or do maintenance without trouble. The burners and orifices are removable to simplify replacements and maintenance while the air shutters allow you to manually tweak flame quality for consistent performance. Valves for the main gas, temperature control, and safety pilot are found inside a covered section at the side of each section, ventilated and accessible from the front for easy servicing.
Available in natural gas and liquid propane models, the Blodgett 981-966 gas deck-type oven is approved by cETLus and NSF for safe commercial use. The unit comes standard with a two-year warranty on parts, a one-year warranty on labor, and an additional three-year door warranty.
